Aims and Scope
JDER publishes original research articles, review articles, case studies and short communications on different aspects of disasters and emergencies with the primary objective to improve disaster prevention, preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery policies and practices provided by the academic community to share their professional and academic knowledge in all areas of the subject such as risk management, road accidents, hospital preparedness and climate change.
The editorial board welcomes the submission of articles related to all areas of disaster and emergency. The JDER follows a “double-blind” peer review process in which the authors and reviewers are not informed of each other’s identity. Manuscripts submitted for review should not be under current consideration for publication by other journals.

Open access policy

  • JDER does not charge readers and their institution for access to its papers. Full text download of all new and archived papers are free of charge. Registration on JDER website is free of charge for authors and reviewers.
  • JDER allows readers to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of its articles and allow readers to use them for any other lawful purpose.
  • JDER lets others to distribute, remix, tweak and build upon their work, even commercially, as long as they credit us for the original creation.
  • JDER has a registered deposit policy.
